High Density Polyethylene HDPE
The average pore size ranges from 35 microns to 120 microns. HDPE is available in both hydrophilic and hydrophobic supports and can withstand a continuous temperature of 180°F (82°C) and intermittently at 240°F (116°C). If not stressed, it is stable at 212°F (100°C) in continuous service.
Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene UHMWPE
The average pore size ranges from 5 microns to 40 microns. UHMWPE is resistant to concentrated acids, alkali, and numerous organic solvents. This material has the same temperature limitations as HDPE.
Our PTFE membranes are strong and robust and does not require laminated support for handling. Three dimensional pore structure provides good control over pore size and pore distribution. The average pore size ranges from 1 micron to 45 microns. These membranes are resistant to pore closure under pressure for consistent performance, are USP 23 approved, non-cytotoxic and can be sterilized by steam and EtO.
Cellulose membranes are manufactured from 100% high quality cotton fibers using ultra-pure, reverse osmosis water. A final acid treatment removes remaining organic or inorganic impurities. They have a maximum ash content of 0.012%. These hardened ashless papers are ideal for increased wet strength and handling capacity. These hardened papers with tough, smooth surface free of loose fibers, are ideal cor collecting wet precipitates. The average pore size ranges from 1 micron to 25 microns.
